The Shifty Shafts Treasure Map points to a Battle Star hidden on the southwest end of Dusty Divot, just a short ways north and west of salty Springs. If it looks familiar, it's probably because Fortnite players come across it all the time. There are a couple of clues on the map: the treasure is on a lower rocky outcropping featuring a few different trees, with the lower rock formation holding the treasure being found in the south end of the area. As a reference, here's the Shifty Shafts Treasure Map: The map itself can be found over in Shifty Shafts, but players will be forgiven not knowing which location it's pointing to. The Fortnite Season 5 Week 9 Battle Star challenge contains two separate objectives: the first is to find the Treasure Map, and the second is to follow it to find the hidden Battle Star. The update also adds the Grappler item in, which is used primarily to zip around the environment. Here's what the High Stakes challenges are and the rewards that you can earn by completing them. This new limited-time mode has its own set of challenges to complete. The alternative way is to just follow our guide: Since you don't technically need to get the map to complete the challenge, you can skip going to Shifty Shafts and locating the map and instead head to the location it's ultimately pointing you toward. The treasure map is the week's challenge likely to take the longest-that is, if you do it the hard way and actually find the treasure map, then follow it. Here's how to do them, including where to find the Shifty Shafts treasure map. All you've got to do is complete the objectives and, in return, you get Battle Stars that unlock new goodies. Challenges are split into two categories, with one selection of them available to all players and the other exclusively to those that have paid for a Battle Pass.
